I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I’m so excited to start sharing all of my candy land projects that I’m making for our front yard. I’ve always wanted to do a candy land or gingerbread theme in our front yard but I haven’t had the time. I actually bought the supplies to make these gum drops a year ago but never got around to making them. Since we aren’t going anywhere this year, I figured now is my time! These gum drops are easy to make and super cute.
Supplies
- Buckets (I searched forever for cheap buckets/planters. If you are thinking about itnlook in the summer for sand buckets because they might have some better shapes).
- Sparkle Mod Podge
- Glitter
- Outdoor protectant spray (if you are putting them outside)
How to Make the Gum Drops
These are super easy and quick. I took the planters, covered them in a thick layer of Mod Podge and sprinkled them very generously with the clear glitter. I repeated for every bucket and let them dry overnight.

Since we live in Michigan and the weather can get really rough, I try to do what I can to protect my outdoor crafts. I sprayed the buckets very generously with outdoor protectant spray. I think I did about four coats total. Hopefully they will hold up outside!

That’s it, quick and easy project to make these super cute gum drops!
